Professor Wang Jianye graduated from the Medical Department of Xinjiang Medical College in 1982 with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine. Graduated from the Graduate School of Peking Union Medical College in 1989 with a Master's degree in Medicine. Graduated from the Medical School of the University of Zurich in Switzerland in 1994 with a Doctor of Medicine degree.
Professor Wang Jianye has been engaged in clinical and scientific research work in urology for a long time. Early diagnosis and radical surgery for prostate cancer have been carried out earlier in China, making the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer systematic and standardized. At the same time, technologies such as vaporization, ablation, and transurethral resection of the prostate for benign prostatic hyperplasia were developed earlier in China. In recent years, Professor Wang Jianye has led urologists to carry out surgeries such as laparoscopy, kidney transplantation, and minimally invasive treatment of stones. Professor Wang Jianye has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of high-risk elderly people. He has performed many operations for patients over 90 years old, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and bladder cancer.
Professor Wang Jianye attaches great importance to scientific research work, with a focus on benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer related to the elderly. He has undertaken national research projects for the 15th, 11th, and 12th Five Year Plans, as well as multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects. Especially leading and undertaking the national "Tenth Five Year Plan" research project - "Research on Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Plans for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia", providing evidence-based medicine guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia in China. Medical education is also one of Professor Wang Jianye's key areas of work. He has trained more than 30 master's and doctoral students, published over 200 related papers, edited one monograph, and participated in the compilation of over 30 monographs and medical textbooks.
In addition, Professor Wang Jianye has also been awarded the "Global Chinese Urology Lifetime Achievement Award" by the American College of Urology, the first prize of the Excellent Paper Award of the Chinese Medical Association, the Second China Youth Science and Technology Award, the Excellent Young Physician Award of the Chinese Medical Association, and the Chinese Physician Award, and enjoys special allowances from the State Council.
