Research Focus:
Specializes in geriatric rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation, focusing on the biomechanics and functional reorganization mechanisms of post-stroke dysfunction, precise transcranial magnetic stimulation targeting and brain plasticity, and early prevention and intervention of aging frailty. Expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of geriatric diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury, as well as the assessment and treatment of post-brain injury dysfunction and research on the prognosis and quality of life of geriatric diseases.
From 2010 to 2011, funded by the China Scholarship Council, conducted research on the biomechanics and functional reorganization mechanisms of swallowing disorders at the Swallowing Research Laboratory of the University of Florida under the guidance of Professor Micheal A. Crary, a renowned expert and pioneer in swallowing research. Upon returning to China, pioneered the use of digital analysis of swallowing and high-resolution pharyngeal manometry, breaking through the bottleneck of quantitative assessment of swallowing function and improving the diagnosis and treatment of complex swallowing disorders.
Research Projects:
Currently leads five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, five provincial-level projects including the Guangdong Public Welfare Research and Capacity Building Key Project and the Guangzhou Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Major Project, and four other projects. Participated in multiple national key research and development programs, sub-projects of the National "10th Five-Year" and "11th Five-Year" Science and Technology Support Programs, and China-Finland intergovernmental science and technology cooperation projects.
Achievements:
- Holds five invention and utility model patents and two computer software copyrights.
- Published over 70 papers in core domestic and international journals, including more than 50 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author.
- Chief Editor of "Home Rehabilitation Guide for Swallowing Disorders" and Co-Editor of "Assessment and Treatment of Swallowing Disorders" (First Edition).
- Contributed to the compilation of over 10 monographs, including "Assessment and Treatment of Spasticity" and "Rehabilitation Medicine: Theory and Practice".
