研究员，博士生导师，“国华杰出学者”，暨南大学衰老与再生医学研究院院长，再生医学教育部重点实验室主任，国家“杰青”获得者（2015）。毕业于德国汉诺威医学院，获博士学位。
现任中国生理协会衰老与健康专业委员会副主任委员，中国细胞生物学学会衰老细胞生物学分会副会长。
研究工作聚焦在干细胞衰老的分子机制，及其对组织器官功能和寿命的影响，在Cell、Nat Genet、Nat Med、Cell Stem Cell、Blood等杂志上总计发表SCI论文133篇。
获得多个国家级重点或者重大项目，其中包括国家自然科学基金重点项目3项、重大研究计划重点项目1项、重大研究计划集成项目1项、国际合作重点项目1项等。
Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor, "Guohua Distinguished Scholar," Director of the Institute of Aging and Regenerative Medicine at Jinan University, and Director of the Key Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine under the Ministry of Education. Recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2015). Graduated with a PhD from Hannover Medical School in Germany.
Currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Aging and Health Professional Committee of the Chinese Physiological Society and Vice President of the Aging Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology.
Research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of stem cell aging and its impact on tissue and organ function and lifespan. Has published a total of 133 SCI papers in journals such as Cell, Nature Genetics, Nature Medicine, Cell Stem Cell, and Blood.
Has secured multiple national key or major projects, including 3 key projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 key project from the Major Research Plan, 1 integrated project from the Major Research Plan, and 1 key international cooperation project, among others.
