中山大学名医，是我国著名泌尿系肿瘤微创治疗专家，擅长膀胱癌、前列腺癌、肾癌、肾盂癌、睾丸癌等各种泌尿系肿瘤的机器人辅助腹腔镜、腹腔镜、3D腹腔镜下的微创手术治疗。在国内首先开展并改进腹腔镜根治性膀胱切除-原位回肠新膀胱术、阴茎癌腹股沟淋巴结清扫术等术式,并在国内外推广、运用，为推动我国泌尿外科事业作出了卓越贡献。
兼中华医学会泌尿外科学分会主任委员、中国医师协会泌尿外科专科医师分会副会长、中国医疗保健国际交流促进会加速康复外科分会副主任委员、中华医学会泌尿外科学分会肿瘤学组组长、中国医疗器械行业协会泌尿外科与男科器械专业委员会副会长、中国医师协会医学机器人医师分会常委、《中国泌尿外科和男科疾病诊断治疗指南》主编。
曾获教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖一等奖、广东省科学技术进步奖一等奖、获卫计委“全国卫生计生系统先进工作者”称号、“国之名医-卓越建树奖、 “吴阶平泌尿外科医学奖”、中华医学会泌尿外科分会肿瘤学组“华佗奖”，泌尿外科微创领域最高奖项“金膀胱镜奖”。
先后主持国家级、省部级等各级科研项目20余项，在国外知名杂志及国内核心杂志发表论著130余篇。参编专著20余部，申请获得国家实用新型专利7。

Renowned as a distinguished physician at Sun Yat-sen University, he is a leading expert in minimally invasive treatments for urological tumors in China. He specializes in robot-assisted laparoscopic, laparoscopic, and 3D laparoscopic surgeries for various urological cancers, including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, renal cancer, renal pelvic cancer, and testicular cancer. He pioneered and refined techniques such as laparoscopic radical cystectomy with orthotopic ileal neobladder and inguinal lymphadenectomy for penile cancer, which have been widely adopted and promoted both domestically and internationally, making significant contributions to the advancement of urology in China.
He holds multiple prestigious positions, including Chairman of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of the Urology Specialist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, Leader of the Oncology Group of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of the Urology and Andrology Instruments Committee of the China Medical Device Industry Association, Standing Committee Member of the Medical Robotics Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Editor-in-Chief of the "Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Urological and Andrological Diseases in China".
He has received numerous accolades, including the First Prize of the Outstanding Research Achievement Award for Higher Education Institutions from the Ministry of Education, the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the title of "National Advanced Worker in the Health and Family Planning System" from the National Health Commission, the "National Distinguished Physician - Outstanding Contribution Award," the "Wu Jieping Urology Medical Award," the "Hua Tuo Award" from the Oncology Group of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the "Golden Cystoscope Award," the highest honor in the field of minimally invasive urology.
He has led over 20 national and provincial-level research projects, published more than 130 papers in renowned international and domestic core journals, contributed to over 20 professional books, and obtained 7 national utility model patents.
