Engaged in basic research and clinical work on the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of digestive system diseases, specializing in the integrated treatment of digestive system diseases (acute and chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers, atrophic gastritis, gastrointestinal functional disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, etc.), hepatobiliary diseases (chronic hepatitis B, liver fibrosis, compensated cirrhosis, etc.), and emotional disorders (insomnia, depression, neurosis, etc.).
Conducts teaching and research work at Southern Medical University, while also engaging in clinical work for the treatment of digestive system diseases and liver diseases at the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Nanfang Hospital and the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital of Southern Medical University.
Serves as a committee member of the Basic Theory Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a committee member of the Preventive Treatment of Disease Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a committee member and secretary of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association.
Has presided over nearly 10 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Outstanding Youth Project of the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan Project. Has published multiple research results in high-level international journals, with a total SCI impact factor of >50, including articles in the American Journal of Hepatology, the classic journal in the field of free radicals Free Radical Biology and Medicine, and the classic journal in the field of neuroscience Journal of Neuroscience.
Awarded the Second Prize for Young Research Scholars at the World Chinese Conference on Free Radical Biology and Free Radical Medicine (Hong Kong).
