Ph.D., Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine, recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2023), the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (2018), the Youth Program of the "High-Level Overseas Talents" initiative by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee (2016), and the 2024 China Stem Cell Research Innovation Scientist Award.
Serves as a Committee Member of the Blood Physiology Committee of the Chinese Physiological Society, Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Experimental Hematology Committee of the Chinese Pathophysiology Society, Committee Member of the Basic and Translational Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, and Youth Committee Member of the Chinese Pathophysiology Society.
Graduated from Shandong University with a Bachelor of Medicine in 2002 and obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2009 from the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences/Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, under the guidance of Academician Chen Guoqiang. Conducted postdoctoral research at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in the United States from 2010 under the mentorship of renowned stem cell expert Professor Linheng Li. Returned to China in 2016 through Sun Yat-sen University's "Hundred Talents Program" and has been working at Sun Yat-sen University since.
Mainly engaged in research on the regulatory mechanisms of hematopoietic stem cell aging and leukemia stem cell drug resistance, as well as tumor immunotherapy.
In recent years, has published multiple papers as the corresponding author in journals such as "Nature Cell Biology" (2 papers), "Cell Stem Cell", "Blood" (3 papers), "Journal of Experimental Medicine", "eLife", "Advanced Science", and "Journal of Hematology & Oncology", with a total citation count exceeding 3,000.
Research achievements were consecutively selected for the Top Ten Research Advances in Chinese Hematology in 2022 and 2023, and awarded the 2024 China Stem Cell Research Innovation Scientist Award. Has applied for 8 domestic patents (4 approved) and 5 international patents (2 approved) related to hematopoietic microenvironment repair and mesenchymal stem cells.
Authored 2 monographs on hematopoietic stem cells and published review articles in journals such as "Blood" and "Cell Research".
Serves as a peer reviewer for journals including "Cell Stem Cell", "Nature Cell Biology", and "Blood", and as an evaluation expert for the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, Distinguished Young Scholars, second-round review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation, review expert for the Chang Jiang Scholars Program, and evaluation expert for the National Ten Thousand Talents Plan Leading Talents and the Jiangsu Climbing Program.
